Hi Shanda:~)

I recently broke up with my man after a 5yr off & on relationship. I'm not really ready to get into another relationship at this present time, but I'm tired of dwelling on him.

I need to move on now and I don't want to keep going back and forth with him anymore because, each time we get back together it gets harder and harder to get over him.

I don't have time for the childish games he likes to play.
He's cleary not ready to grow up yet, and he's 50.

I know that I can't keep trying to change him into something he's not willing to become. And, I'm tired of bending my morals and beliefs for him. I can't do it anymore, its becoming to much to deal with on a weekly basis.

This has been the second time around for us. We were together before from 1991-1992. Then again from 2005-2009, and he's still bringing the same drama. Don't get me wrong, he has alot of great qualities that have kept him dear to my heart. But, his bad qualities outweigh his good qualities. And I just can't keep allowing myself to go through his mess. I have to move on and close that chapter, because he's not willing to change the things about his-self that I don't like. And I've come to truly understand that now matter how much you do for a person, no matter what kind of potential you see in a person, or how much of yourself you devote to a person, they are not going to change. It's up to that individual person to want to change.

I just don't know what to do? If he changed the few things that I asked him to, then I will marry him. But, he's not willing to, then I'm not going to marry him.

I need help with closer, Its been hard getting over him Can you give me some advice please?
